As you can see from this chart, bleeding, infection, eclampsia, and obstructed labor account for 60% of maternal deaths. Our goal is to create simple training protocols that allow midwives to identify each of these conditions. They will learn how to treat them, and when to call for help. In addition we will teach neonatal resuscitation techniques.
